This beautiful box is creation of Mariya Mochalova, from Fedoskino. Mariya is a daughter of famous Fedoskino artists Nikolay Zotov and Moiseeva Elena. The scene presents us box shows old Russian fairy tale Teremok.Creating this composition Mariya used different shadows of blue,grey and white. Aluminum metal leaf shines through the background. The house Teremok and the Rooster on it are painted with gold paint. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box, red lacquer completes the interior of the box. The box is constructed from paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the top of the composition, and the box rests on four legs. The work is signed by the artist.
