Livanova Irina Vadimovna (1937 - ...)  Click to play

Irina Vadimovna Livanova was born in 1937 in the town of Rybinsk in the Yaroslavl region. In 1956 Irina entered the Palekh Art School and graduated in 1961; she studied there under D.N. Butorin and B.M. Nemtinov. Livanova also studied at the Leningrad Institute of Theatre, Music, and Cinematography (1967-1968). Irina Vadimovna worked at the Palekh Art Workshops from 1961 to 1991, and then the Artel "Palekh" employed her.

The master also does monumental and theatrical scene painting. The subject matters of her art are lyric genre and landscapes. The titles of her best works are "Seasons", "Cabbage Butterfly", "Raspberry", "Ivan-tsarevich and the Grey Wolf", "The Flying Carpet", "Red Berry", "At the Edge", "Couple", "At the Spring", "The Fair in Old Palekh".

Irina Vadimovna was admitted to the Union of Artists in 1974. The artist has been participating in exhibitions since 1963. Miniatures by Livanova are reserved in the collections of the State Museum of Palekh Art, State Russian Museum, Zagorsk State Historic and Art Museum-Park, Russian Folk Arts and Crafts Museum, Ivanovo Regional Art Museum, Ples Historic and Architecture Art Museum-Park.
