Description:

This beautiful seascape is a creation of the famous Fedoskino artist Alexey Valyalin. In his youth he served in the navy, and this fact may explain his addiction to the sea and boats. The scene is brilliantly painted in the realistic style. Artist used different shades of blue to represent marine environment within the composition. The ship is detailed wonderfully showing the texture in the sails, the multitude of ropes, and the shadows created by the sun's position. The box is made out of paper-mache. The exterior of the box is black and interior is red. The box has a hinge located to the left of the composition.Box signed and dated.
