This beautiful box was painted by talented Mikhail Tugarinov from the village of Fedoskino. It shows the part of Moscow Kremlin architectural ensemble. The work is tasteful in its simplicity, and elegant in its originality.
The composition is painted in different shades of blue, green, red and brown. The artist used piece of mother of pearl, in order to produce the sun's reflective glare on the sky.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The exterior of the box is painted with black lacquer while the interior is completed with dark red lacquer. A hinge is fastened to the top of the composition. The box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed and dated (1996) by the artist.
