Description:

Created by Nechaev from Fedoskino, in a very stylized version, this scene from the Princess Frog is painted almost entirely in blue tones over luminous gold paint. The figure of the Princess is clearly the focal point of the composition, but there is much to behold on this unusual box - the castle in the background, the detailed attire of the young prince, and the menacing stump in the foreground. This slim box has subtle decorations on the sides. Box made from papier-mache, signed and dated by artist.
