Description:

Blanketed in a layer of winter snow, this ageless scene of Moscow's most famous land- marks was painted beautifully by Fedoskino artist Tugarinova. In the foreground is the centuries-old St. Basil's Cathedral; immediately behind are the red brick walls and tower of the Kremlin. Within is parliament, the Presidential residence, the Armory, and the famous Cathedral Square. Tugarinova has painted all these elements with lifelike detail, including dozens of people out and about. Gold scrollwork decorates the sides of the box. The interior is divided into three compartments.
