Description:
This heavenly piece of exquisite Russian artistry is a creation the talented Lyubov Pashinina from the village of Fedoskino. It depicts a pretty, rosy-cheeked girl dressed in the Russian traditional costume. Her kokoshnik shines bright as it is detailed with gold and silver paints; gold paint is also used to paint her necklace and ribbons.
The girl's figure is painted against the beautiful background, - it is silver at the top of the scene, and then it insensibly gradates into gold. A subtle gradation of silver paint into gold is repeated on the box's exterior bottom as an original decoration. The box's interior is traditionally red.
A wide gold band wraps around the box's sides.
The box is constructed from quality paper-mache. It has a hinge from the left of the scene, and rests on a flat bottom. Signed with the artist's name, the year of 2006, and the village of Fedoskino.
