Description:
This interesting work is a creation of the well-known Fedoskino artist Marina Rogatova. Talent and fantasy of this artist are boundless. She amazes the viewer with each of her new works, and her creativity attracts more and more amateurs from different countries.
The box shows the hawk attacking the firebird in the air. This scene contains a philosophic idea, and symbolizes an eternal fight of Good against Evil.
The scene is masterfully painted in delicate yellow and blue tones of oils. Each feather of the firebird is thoroughly painted in minute details. Three pieces of mother-of-pearl that have bright green and pink undertones are set into each wing of the firebird, and shine through its tail. Silver paint is used to highlight feathers of both the firebird and the hawk. The box's sides are decorated with an original pattern composed of a firebird's feathers painted in gold and accented with turquoise oils. Very beautiful!
The box is constructed out of paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino and the year of 2007.
