This unusual piece is createdby famous Fedoskino artist, Pavel Govorun. Pavel depicts a scene from Lewis Carroll's popular tale "Alice in Wonderland", a mad hatter's tea party. She drinks tea with the Hatter by himself, the March Hare, and the Dormouse, and listens to their stories. The scene demonstrates the unique style of Pavel Govorun. Blue, brown and white tones of oils predominate here. Silver powder shines through Alice's dress. The scene is framed with a scan ornaments. The box is constructed from paper-mache. Dark violet lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box and a platform while red lacquer completes the interior of the box. A hinge is fastened to the top of the scene(of the box), and the box rests on a platform. The work is signed with the artist's name, the year of 2012, and Fedoskino.
