This splendid piece created by one of the best Fedoskino artist, Marina Rogatova. Artist represents us a beautiful young couple, wearing a masquerade costumes and having fun at the Ball. dress. The scene is painted with different shadows of blue, lilac white green and brown.. Some elements of the lady's costume shine brightly being painted in gold over a piece of mother-of-pearl. The scene is framed with a gold ornamentation at the bottom half of the composition. The box is constructed from paper-mache. Dark violet lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the piece while red lacquer completes its interior. The lid is hinged from the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name and the title on the box's on the inside of the lid.
