Description:

The peaceful summer landscape painted on this box is a creation by Svyatchenkov from the village of Fedoskino. Various shades of green oils dominate here. Silver powder has been used as an underlayer for this scene to create a glimmer of the trees, bushes and stones. Svyatchenkov has added his personal inspiration to this landscape of Fedoskino outskirts. The box is constructed out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The lid is hinged from the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. At the bottom of the scene the artist has also written Fedoskino and the year of 2006.
