Svetlana Chirkova from the village of Fedoskino continues to astonish the viewer with her masterful works, and to demonstrate her talent in depicting splendid female portraits. This work is called “Night”, and represent the allegorical depiction of summer night. Here the author comparesthe Night with the beautiful young woman surrounded with flowers and stars.
The portrait is painted against the shining silver background. The box's bottom are decorated with an original blue oil paint.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Its exterior is traditionally covered with black lacquer, and red lacquer completes the interior of the work. A hinge has been fastened to the left of the scene, and the box rests on the flat bottom. Chirkova has written her name, the title, Fedoskino and the year 2006on the box's exterior bottom.
