This beautiful piece of authentic Russian lacquer art was created by famous Mstera artist Vladimir Molodkin. His unique style is well established in Mstera and all lacquer community. Molodkin's works are exhibited at the All-Russia Museum of Decorative and Folk Arts in Moscow, Vladimir Art Museum, Mstera Art Museum, in many private collections in Russia, USA, United Kindgdom, Germany, France and many other countries. He does much more than simply paint quality compositions. Molodkin's pieces take us into a world of enhanced imagination.Vladimir use soft and cool colors to fill in the structure of the composition. The artist uses gold and aluminum paints to enhance the detailing in the clothing, landscape, and add some lightness to the scene.The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box and red lacquer completes the interior of the box. A hinge is fastened to the top of the composition. The box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed, and titled by the artist at the bottom of the composition.
