Multi-figure composition shows the one of the central scenes of Russian folk tale “As if by Magic”. Emelya ridding a stove and goes to the Tsar, to amuse the princess Atlantis. Crowds is very surprised, dogs are running and burking at amazing "wagon" in shape of of fuming russian stove, in front of which runs a horrified Tsar messenger. The artist creates an epic picture of not only the fairy tale, but the old way of life: an ancient Russian town with houses made of stone, with icicles and snow on roofs, in spite of the winter, the trees are with green leaves in gold gaps, different groups of people in old fashioned clothes, parents are pulling the sledge with a child who is holding a lollipop “cockerel”, guards are running behind the stove, one with an ax, the other one unsheathes the sword. Miniature enclosed into a beautiful ornamental frame, decorated with beautifull shell designs.
Artist is a master of creating beautiful, vivid, memorable images. He does not copy anyone, each of his pieces is fresh and new interpretation of the famous fairy tales, historical events, books . Alexey comes from hereditary family of miniature painters, and inherited his mother Galina Zhiryakova's extraordinary talent.
