Ushakov Sergey Nikolaevich was born in 1971 in the town of Novokuznetsk, Kemerovo Region. Now he resides in the town of Krasnozavodsk, Moscow Region.

Sergey Nikolaevich finished the Abramtsevo Art School named after Vasnetsov V.M.

At present the artist works at home. He paints his works in the realistic style, using watercolors and akril. Prefers to depict biblical subjects (“Christmas”) and he also copies the compositions created by Fedoskino and Palekh artists.

Works by Ushakov S.N. are exhibited in the art saloon in the famous Moscow shop GUM.

The artist thinks quality of painting is the most important element in the work at a matreshka. He paints his works in bright, pastel tones, applying his personal artistic methods. On the average it takes him 3 or 4 days to paint a matreshka.

Sergey Nikolaevich supposes it’s easy to recognize his works owing to peculiar style of painting. To his opinion people will estimate his compositions for thinness of painting, clarity of drawing, interesting themes, coloring and high quality of execution.

Works by Vasnetsov V.M. had a great influence on the artist’s painting.

Sergey Nikolaevich wishes to all admirers of Russian applied art to acquire more often a Russian nestling doll named "matreshka".
