Chizhov Mikhail Stepanovich (1923-1986) - lacquer miniature artist.
Member of the Artists' Union since 1951.
People's Artist of the RSFSR.
Winner of the Repin's RSFSR Prize; author of the book "Among miniaturists" (L. 1982).
Studied at the Fedoskino School (1938-1941) under A.A. Parfenov and N.V. Mitusov.
Worked at the Fedoskino factory of miniature art since 1941. Participant of Russian and International exhibitions.
M.S. Chizhov's works are exhibited in the central museums of Russia.
