Dmitriev Viktor Petrovich was born in 1960 in the village of Rovki, Shakhovsky Region. Now her resides in the village of Fedoskino, Moscow Region.
In 1982 the artist finished the Fedoskino Art School. His teachers were S.S Chistov and V.N. Frolov. The graduation work of V.P. Dmitriev included two compositions: “The portrait of D.V. Davydov” and an architectural landscape.
V.P. Dmitriev is rewarded with many prizes for his successful work in the field of lacquer miniature painting.
The artist paints his works in the style of Fedoskino lacquered miniature using oil paints, mother-of-pearl and gold paints. He prefers to depict architectural landscapes.
Viktor Petrovich appreciates his works for realism of drawing. Beginning to paint, he intends to reflect in a composition life and atmosphere of the epoch reflected in a chosen subject. Finishes painting, when the subsequent work may spoil a composition. Mood and artistic flair help the artist to choose a color palette.
V.P. Dmitriev thinks the time spent on painting a composition depends on a subject’s complexity. To his mind, his works are notable for peculiar painting technique, original themes, coloring and quality of painting.
Works by such famous Fedoskino artists as N.M. Soloninkin, P.N. Puchkov and S.S. Chistov had a great influence on the artist’s painting.
In his free time Viktor Petrovich is engaged with building his new house.
