Khohlov Roman Dmitrievich was born in 1972 in the town of Dmitrov situated in the Moscow region and resides there now.
In 1992 he graduated from the Fedoskino Art School where he studied under Marchukov and Mazalov.
Now the artist works at the Fedoskino factory of miniature art.
Roman works in the style of Fedoskino lacquered miniature on paper-mache using technique of oil painting. He likes to paint on a variety of themes.
Khohlov considers the most important element of his compositions is style of painting.
When the painter begins a new piece, his aim is to achieve high quality execution. In his opinion, work on a miniature is finished when the master feels it.
People may recognize Khohlov's works by its distinctive style characterized by its fine brush mastery, qualitative execution, original forms, clear and precise compositions.
Creative work of such famous masters as S. Kozlov and A. Sokolov influenced Roman's individual style.
Roman is a backer and in his free time he likes to ride his bike.
