The artist paints in the style of Fedoskino lacquered miniature, using oil paints. Almost all his works are original. He paints on a variety of themes: fairy-tales, architecture, landscapes, history.
Sergey Ivanovich can’t say what artwork was his favorite one; all of them are dear to him. He values his works, mostly, for unity of form and painting.
The painter acknowledges that he works on account of curiosity, intending to find out how the future composition will look in the end. Finishes working, when all his artistic ideas are realized and there is nothing to add.
Sergey Ivanovich applies in work his personal painting methods and prefers to use cold, beautiful colors.
S.I. Kozlov thinks his artworks are recognizable owing to thinness and precision of painting, interesting themes, beautiful color combinations, original execution and unusual shapes of his boxes.
Sergey Ivanovich decided to be an artist because he has liked to paint since his childhood. His son, Alexander, is also engaged in painting.
In his free time the artist likes to draw; job and hobby is the same thing for him.
Sergey Ivanovich wishes to all admires of Russian lacquer miniature art happiness in their private life.
