Natalya Leonova graduated from the Fedoskino Art School in 1978 and has been
working at the Fedoskino Lacquer Art Center ever since. From 1998-2001 Leonova was the Chief Artist at the Fedoskino Art Center, but that administrative job was unfilling, and she is again working as an artist and enjoying very much.
Leonova not only is a master lacquer miniaturist, she is also an excellent easel painter, working with oils on canvas. The themes of her works in both mediums is varied, but include landscapes, portraits, genre scenes, as well as horses and everything associated with them.
Leonova's works have been included in exhibitions in Russian and abroad, including a yearly show in the U.S. and Great Britain. Her works are also contained in museum collections in Russia and in private collections in Russia and throughout the world.
In her free time, she enjoys equine sports, photography, and motor sports.
