Mashkov Alexander L'vovich

Alexander Mashkov was born in 1960 in Mocow.

In 1980 the artist graduated from the Fedoskino Art School where he studied under V.M. Frolov and V.S. Kulgavov.

Alexander works at home. He paints in the traditional style of Fedoskino lacquered miniature and uses oil paints. In his artwork the artist uses all colors and applies his personal techniques. Alexander is interested in painting of landscapes and architecture.

Mashkov supposes the most important element in his pieces is succession in painting. The master finishes his work on a composition when he understands that it is finished.

Alexander thinks that people will remember in his pieces thinness and clearness of drawing, shapes of boxes, interesting subjects and execution of high quality. The artist suggests if all these items are taken into account any artist will find his own admires.

In different life periods Mashkov's creative work was influenced by painting of different masters.

Alexander wishes his admires happiness and good health. He says: "Never stop at what has been accomplished!".

Mashkov's pieces are kept in private collections all over the world.
