Arkhipova Ekaterina Nikolaevna was born in 1973 in the village of Kormovishche, Perm Region. Now she resides in the town of Yuzha, Ivanovo Region.
In 1992 the artist finished the Kholuy Art School. Her teachers were Belov V.A., Gurilyev V.M. and Pechkin M.B.
E.N. Arkhipova's diploma work was a composition entitled "The story of Peotr and Fevronia".
Now Ekaterina Nikolaevna works at the Kholuy Craft Workshops.
The artist paints in the style of Kholuy lacquered miniature, using tempera paints. She paints on a variety of themes, but prefers to depict fairy-tales and architecture.
Ekaterina Nikolaevna values her works mostly for expressive compositions and technique of painting. Beginning to work, she intends to paint an expressive and spirited composition. Finishes working, after making incisions.
The artist paints her compositions in neutral tones, using a wide spectrum of colors. She applies in painting techniques of Fedoskino School.
Paintings of such prominent Kholuy artists as Belov V.A. and Baburin N.I. had a great influence on E.N. Arkhipova's creative work.
The artist likes to spend her free time with her family in their country-cottage, and also to improve the level of her professional skill.
