Baranov Dmitriy Pavlovich (1878 - 1948)

Dmitriy Baranov (1878-1948) was born in the village of Kholuy. Studied at the N.N. Kharlamov icon painting school (1891-1897). A co-founder of the artistic artel in Kholuy (1931). Chairman of the artel from 1934-1936. His paintings have been displayed at various art exhibitions. Baranov took part in decorating the interiors of a sanatorium in Sochi (1937) and a Young Pioneers' Palace in Ivanovo (1939).
