Dobrin Evgeny Yurievich was born in 1960 in the village of Kholuy, Ivanovo Region, where he resides at present.
In 1983 the artist finished the Kholuy Art School. His teachers were Semenov A.I., Zhivnostka L.M., Denisov N.N.
E.Yu. Dobrin's origin works include:

3. "The tale of sleeping princess and seven bogatyrs" (1997);

Evgeny Yurievich works in the style of Kholuy lacquered miniature, using tempera paints. He prefers to paint on themes of fairy-tales and bylinas. His favorite work is "Stone flower".
The artist thinks that expression of characters' images and revealing of nature's beauty are the most important tasks in painting. Beginning to paint a new composition he always intends to create something new. Finishes painting when he can cover a box with lacquer.
The artist likes to use in painting blue, green and violet tones. He strictly keeps to the painting technique of Kholuy lacquered miniature.
Evgeny Yurievich has chosen his profession by his family tradition. His father, Dobrin Yu.T., and mother, Dobrina A.N., are also professional artists.
In his free time the artist likes to fish.
