Filkina Olga Alexandrovna was born in 1963 in the village of Kholuy. Now the artist lives in the village of Mstera.
In 1983 Olga Alexandrovna finished the Khouy Art School where she studied under V. Yakovlev.
The artist paints her works in the styles of Khloluy and Mstera lacquered miniature, using tempera paints. She prefers to paint compositions with abundance of ornamental details and patterns, using bright and mellow colors. Her favorite subject is "Russian North".
Olga Alexandrovna uses in painting her personal artistic methods and her works are recognizable due to original, inspired performance. She supposes that admirers of lacquered miniature art will remember her works owing to fine brush mastery, precision of drawing, shapes of boxes and qualitative fulfillment.
O.A. Filkina has chosen the profession of artist by her family tradition. Her mother, sister, nephew and niece are also professional artists.
Olga Alexandrovna likes to spend her free time in the country.
