Nadejda Borisovna Gordeeva was born in 1954 in the village of Izotino, Ivanovo Region. Now the artist lives in the villge of Kholuy, Ivanovo Region.
While attending the Kholuy Art School, she studied under A.M. Kosterin, A.I.Semenov, V.P. Bugaev before graduating it in 1975. Her diploma work was a composition entitled "Pushkin's tales".
At present the artist works at the Kholuy Craft Workshops.
Gordeeva's techniques are so good that she is considered an excellent copy maker. She copies the work of masters to be used in class exercises of miniature art painters. In her own artwork, lyrical themes and fairytales inspire her. Her work can be distinguished by their color and over all quality of execution. Gordeeva is very meticulous and thorough when she paints and is known to paint every little detail. She prefers to work with a blue-green color palette.
In her free time, Gordeeva busies her self with chores around her house.
