Prokofieva Oksana Alexandrovna was born in 1980 in the town of Kamyshi, Volgograd Region. At present she resides in the village of Kholuy, Ivanovo Region.
In 2000 the artist finished the Kholuy Art School. Her teachers were Yolkin V.A., Gurilyev V.M., Smirnitsky V.B. Her diploma work was a composition entitled "The tale of golden cockerel".
Now Oksana Alexandrovna works at the Kholuy Craft Workshops.
The artist paints in the style of Kholuy lacquered miniature, using tempera paints. She paints on a variety of themes, but prefers to depict fairy-tales and architecture.
Beginning to work, she intends to paint a qualitative composition and create life like images. Finishes working, when she feels that she is satisfied with her work.
Oksana Alexandrovna paints her compositions in calm colors. Her works are notable for softness of color treatment and painting technique.
The artist can't say how much time it takes her to paint a composition; everything depends on a box size and a composition's complexity.
Oksana Alexandrovna likes icon painting very much. Paintings of different icon painters had a great influence on her creative work.
In her free time the artist likes to read.
