Shemyakina Rimma Borisovna was born in 1966 in the town of Kachkanar, Sverdlov Region. Now she resides in the village of Kholui, Ivanovo Region.
In 1989 Rimma has finished the Kholui Art School where she studied under Zhivnostka L.M., Pechkin M.B., Mityashin P.A and Guryleva G.N. Her Diploma work was a composition "Scarlet flower".
At present the artist works at the Kholui Craft Workshops.
She paints her compositions in the style of Kholui lacquered miniature, using tempera paints. Themes of her works are Russian folk fairy-tales and bylinas. Her favorite theme is a fairy-tale with elements of a landscape.
Rimma supposes the most important task in painting a lacquered miniature is unobtrusive accentuating of the images that help to express precisely a chosen theme. Beginning to paint a miniature, she intends to express a theme brightly and vividly. Finishes working, when any additions and changes are unnecessary.
The artist applies in painting her personal technique methods. On the average it takes her from a week to two months to paint a composition.
Works by such prominent artists as I.Ya. Bilibin, V.M. Vasnetsov, A. Mucha had a great influence on the artist's painting.
In her free time Rimma perfects her spiritual and intellectual level.
The artist wishes to all enthusiasts of the lacquer miniature painting to amass a rich and unique collection.
