Artists

A miniature artist, Sotskov was born in the village of Kholuy in 1934. He completed the Kholuy Art School in 1958, and now works at the Kholuy Lacquer Miniature Factory. A member of the RSFSR Artists' Union, Sotskov's works have been exhibited since 1967. Major works include "The Elk" (1964), "Metelitsa" (1964), "Firebird" (1965), "The Wookpecker" (1965), "Prince Gvidon" (1966), "Ilya of Murom" (1967), "The Expedition" (1973).
