Tikhonravov Boris Vladimirovich (1929 - 1977)  Click to play

Boris Tikhonravov (1929-1977) was a miniature artist, born in the village of Kholuy. He completed the Kholuy Art School in 1947, and immediately joined the Kholuy Lacquer Miniature Factory. He was a teacher at the Kholuy Art School from 1956 on, and a member of the RSFSR Artists' Union since 1964.

Tikhonravov's major works include "Ruslan and Ludmila" (1947), "Dubrovsky" (1952), "Prince Igor" (1952), "When Shall We Meet Next?" (1955), "Flax in Bloom" (1960), "Rowan Tree" (1965), "The Peasant Maid" (1966), and "Vasilisa the Beautiful" (1967).
