Borisova (Lubomudrova) Ludmila Borisovna was born on October 4, 1958 in the village of Mstera, Vladimir Region. At present she lives in her native village.
In 1980 the artist finished the Mstera Art School. Her teachers were Ovchinnikov V.N., Lubomudrova N.A., Lubomudrov B.N., Semin I.I. The diploma work of Borisova L.B. was a casket “Defense of Vladimir”.
Now Ludmila Borisovna works at the Mstera factory of miniature painting which is called “Proletarian Art”, at home and also at the creative industrial association “Mstera branch of the Union of Artists” and at the artel “Artist”.
Borisova L.B. is a member of the Union of Artists since 1991. She is awarded with the honorable badge “The 50th anniversary of victory in the World War II”. Her works are exhibited in the State Russian Museum (St. Petersburg), the Yaroslavl Art Museum, the Vladimir and Suzdal Museum-Preserve, the Museum of Folk Art (Moscow) and the Mstera Museum of miniature painting.
The artist paints her works in the style of Mstera lacquered miniature using tempera paints. Themes of her works are fairy-tales, landscapes, history, lyrics and religious subjects.
Ludmila Borisovna thinks that every artist has his own style of painting. She often applies in work her own painting techniques. Her individual style is notable for sticking to classicism.
The artist supposes that depicting of landscape is the most important element in her works. She paints landscape keeping to the strict traditions of Mstera School.
Beginning to paint Ludmila Borisovna intends to express her character and moral principles in her work. She prefers to use in painting silvery calm tones. It usually takes her 2-5 months to finish painting a box.
The artist thinks that her creative work was influenced by German and Austrian painting of XVI-XVIII centuries.
In her free time Ludmila Borisovna likes to read. To all amateurs of the art of lacquered miniature painting to acquire successful boxes to enlarge their collections.
