Kurchatkina Albina Alexandrovna was born in 1952 in the town of Lakinsk, Vladimir Region. Now she resides in the village of Mstera, Vladimir Region.
In 1974 the artist graduated from the Mstera Art School. Her teachers were Zonina E.N., Udin I.D., Syomin I.I., Dmitriev N.G.
A. Kurchatkina's author works are "The Tale of Tsar Saltan", "Golden Cockerel", "At the Well", "Snow Storm", "Prince Gvidon and Princess Swarn", "Troika", "Hunting" and landscapes.
While working as a painter in the Center of traditional Mstera miniature Albina Alexandrovna was rewarded with many honorary diplomas.
The artist works in the style of Storogonov Icon painting School. Her favorite themes to depict are fairy-tales, bylinas and landscapes. Prefers to paint her compositions in warm, clear tones.
Albina Alexandrovna thinks the most important element in her artworks is irreproachable technique. Setting to a new work, she intends to fulfill her technique, coloring and compositional tasks. Finishes her work on a composition when all these tasks are realized.
A. Kurchatkina tries to stick to the traditional methods of miniature painting in her artwork. She supposes her pieces are recognizable by thin and detailed painting. The artist is especially proud of careful elaborating characters' features.
In her free time Albina Alexandrovna likes to go in for market-gardening.
