Barkhatkin Konstantin Vladimirovich

Was born in 1961 in the village of Medvedkovo in Ivanovo Region. He currently resides in Palekh, Ivanovo Region, and the renowned center of the Russian lacquered miniature.

Konstantin Vladimirovich works in the Palekh painting tradition using tempera paints in his compositions. The master graduated from the Palekh Art School in 1984, where his teachers were A.V. Gordeev and V.I. Golev.

Barkhatkin is interested in working on the themes of Russian fairy-tales and genre scenes. The artist believes the most integral part in his artworks is their execution in classical Palekh style.

In his opinion, a piece is finished only when it is polished and it isn't possible to change anything.

Konstantin Vladimirovich prefers to use traditional Palekh colors and tones. It is important to note that Barkhatkin has his personal painting techniques.

In his free time Konstantin likes to go fishing.

He wishes happiness to all admirers of the fine art.
