Konstantin Bokarev was born in 1928 in the village of Pershino in Ivanovo region. The artist first attended the Ivanovo Art School from which he graduated in 1947, and later graduated from the Palekh Art School in 1951.
Working at the Palekh Art Works, Bokarev made porcelain paintings. The themes of his artwork are literature, folk and revolutionary scenes. The painter is known for such works as "Winter Evening", "Who is Happy in Rus?" "Eaglet", "Russian Winter", and "Brave Danko". These works by Bokarev and many of his other pieces have been exhibited since 1955.
In 1958 Konstantin Sergeevich was nominated to join the Artists' Union. His miniatures can currently be seen in the State Museum of Palekh Art, State Museum of Ethnography of Peoples of Russia, Zagorsk State Historic and Art Museum-Park, Ivanovo Regional Art Museum, Irkutsk Regional Folk Museum, Rybinsk Historic and Art Museum.
