Figurin Alexey Alexandrovich (1910 - 1971)

Alexey Figurin was born in 1910 in the village of Palekh, and died there in 1971. He's been a member of the Artel of Ancient Painting since 1930. His teacher was A.P. Vakurov. Themes of his work included literature, history, and genre scenes. Titles were such as "Duke Serebryaniy", "The Hunter", and Razin on the Volga". Figurin exhibited since 1933, and his works are now in the State Museum of Palekh Art, and the Zagorsk State Historico-Art Museum-Preserve.
