Anatoliy Dmitriyevich Khokhlov - icon and laquer miniature artist. Born in 1893 in the village of Palekh, died in 1943. Studied in the workshops of the Committee for the Patronage of Russian Icon Painting. Member of Artel of Ancient Painting since 1932.
His favorite subjects are literature, genre scenes. The most famous of his works are "Mushroom Hunters", "On the Riverside", and "Unexpected Meeting". Khokhlov's works are preserved in the All-Russia Museum of Decorative, Applied and Folk Art and in the State Museum of Palekh Art.
