Kolygina (Maleeva) Olga Vasilievna – lacquer miniature artist.
Born on March 16, 1964 in the city of Rybinsk, Yaroslavl Region.
Finished the Palekh Art School in 1984. Her teacher was V.I. Golov.
Member of the Artists’ Union since 1993.
Worked in the Palekh studios of lacquer miniature painting since 1984-1989.
Began exhibiting in 1988.
Themes of her works: literature, genre scenes.
The most famous works:
- Box “A fair maiden with gusli is making her way to the pond”,
- Cigarette case “Hunting”,
- Small box “Feast” (private collection, Holland),
- Box “Mermaid” (1994, the State Museum of Palekh Art),
- Paper knife “The Tale of a Gold Cockerel” (private collection, Holland).
O.V. Kolygina’s works are exhibited in the State Museum of Palekh Art.
