Elena Albertovna Kornilova
Born in 1966 in the village of Palekh in Ivanovo region in the family of a miniature artist. She currently lives with the family in her native village.
Elena studied at the Palekh Art School under A.S. Peskov, A.V. Borunov, and V.I. Golov, before graduating in 1986.
Kornilova creates only author works (not copies), using tempera art technique. In artwork she is interested in depicting the themes of fairy-tales. Composition is the most important element for her.
As an artist, upon beginning a new piece, she sets a goal to create a unique article. In her opinion work on a miniature can be never finished.
Kornilova prefers tints of cold colors. Elena considers that her works differ from analogous ones by color of gold painting. She regards her technique of painting as her own art method. The artist hopes her peculiar execution of works will be estimated at their true values.
When Elena isn't painting she brings up her daughter.
She wishes admirers of her creative work all the best.
