Korovkin Valeriy Alexandrovich was born in the township of Maidakovo, Ivanovo Region, on February 21, 1951.

Studied at the Palekh Art School in 1966-1971 under N.M. Zinovyev, V.I. Golov and Y.A. Brovkin.

Began exhibiting in 1975.

Works exhibited in the State Museum of Palekh Art and the Art Fund of the Russian Federation.
