Sergey Vladimirovich Lebedev was born in 1963 in the village of Kineshma of Ivanovo region. He currently resides in Palekh. He attended the Palekh Art where he studied under A.V. Borinov, Y.A. Brovkin, A.V. Gordeev before graduating 1983
Lebedev's works include themes of bylini legends and historical scenes. In his artwork, Lebedev tries to create an artistic composition based on stylistic unity, tastefulness and a master level of execution. Upon starting a new piece Lebedev tries to create a deep, condensed piece of art that is visually harmonious and based on personal feelings. As a skilled artist, Lebedev has many personal techniques in miniature painting, and he uses all kinds of colors depending on the theme of artwork, mood and the set objectives. He feels that a piece can be deemed complete, when the artist has a feeling of satisfaction with a box. Overall, Lebedev believes his work has a distinctive feeling of unity and skillful composition.
In his spare time Sergey likes to go out hiking with his kids and likes to read. He hopes his collectors receive true satisfaction from his pieces.
