Svetlana Anatolyevna Lebedeva was born in 1971 in the town of Divnogorsk of the Krasnoyarsk region. She currently resides in Palekh, where she attended the Palekh Art School. While attending the Palekh Art School, she studied under A.V. Gordeev, E.N. Vikhrev, V.V. Bolshakova until she graduated in 1991.
Lebedeva likes to paint fairy tale, historical, and lyrical (romantic) scenes. She likes her artwork to be complete and ideal in all aspects of miniature painting. When starting a new piece, Lebedeva wants to create a complete, finished artwork, in that the theme and composition are in harmony, so the miniature will "sing" and reflect the mood and the feelings of the heart. Lebedeva uses numerous personal painting techniques to achieve this feeling. Interestingly enough, she creates an individual color pallet for each new work, in accordance to the theme. Lebedeva's work is complete when she feels satisfied with her completed miniature. There is now doubt that her work is always distinguished by her own unique style. Lebedeva thinks collectors will always recognize her distinctive execution.
In her spare time she like to go outdoors with her kids. She hopes her works bring enlightenment into collectors' lives.
