Trofim Petrovich Lyatov - icon painter, lacquer miniature artist. Born in the village of Palekh, Vladimir Gubernya, on July 22, 1888, died there on October 24, 1961. In 1928 became a student at the Artel of Ancient Painting, member of the Artel since 1932. Began exhibiting in 1933.
Lyatov's works are exhibited in the State Museum of Palekh Art, the Folk Art Museum, the Ivanovo Region Art Museum, the All-Russia Museum of Decorative, Applied and Folk Art. Most famous works include:

- Box “Caucasian captive”,
- Box “Parachutists” (1939, the All-Russia Museum of Decorative, Applied and Folk Art),

- Box “Annihilation of enemy parachutists” (1948, the Ivanovo Region Art Museum).
