Pershin Ivan Alexandrovich-icon painter, lacquer miniaturist.

Born 9.10.1889 in Palekh Village (Vladimir Provance); died there 2.11.1972.

Member of the Artel of Ancient Painting since 1931.

Themes of his works: literature, genre scenes ("Varenka Olesova", "Duel of Lensky and Onegin", "A night rendezvous", "Friends", "Tale of the dead tsarevna and the seven bogatyrs", "A lesson in the fields").

Exhibited since 1933.

His works are held in: the State Museum of Palekh Art, the State Historical and Art Museum (Sergiyev Posad), the Irkutsk Region Art Museum, the Museum of revolution, the State Museum of Atheism and History of Religion and in the Pushkin's Museum.
