Staritsyna Marina Vladimirovna was born in 1967 in the village of Palekh, Ivanovo Region where she resides at present.
In 1988 the artist finished the Palekh Art School. Her teachers were Gordeev A.V., Peskov A.S. and Borunov A.V. The diploma work of Staritsyna M.V was a casket entitled “Gipsies”.
Marina Vladimirovna paints her compositions in the style of Palekh lacquered miniature using tempera paints. Her favorite themes to depict are Russian fairy-tales.
The artist uses in painting bright, mellow colors when she works on a miniature and warm restraint tones when she works on an icon. Finishes working, when a box is decorated with ornaments and covered with lacquer.
Works by Staritsyna M.V. are notable for original coloring.
The artist thinks that painting of such well known Palekh painters as Khodov V. and Kochupalov A. had a great influence on her creative work.
In her free time Marina Vladimirovna keeps house, reads and knits.
The artist wishes to all admirers of lacquer miniature to respect labor of artists and be able understand their souls while contemplating boxes.
